Terms and Conditions

1. Information on how to enter the competition forms part of the conditions of entry. Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of its terms and conditions.
   
   
2. First Gas Limited, 42 Connett Road West, Bell Block, New Plymouth 4373 (trading as First Gas) is the promoter of this competition (the Promoter).
   
   
3. No purchase, entry fee, or payment is necessary to enter this competition.
   
   
4. Entry is only open to New Zealand residents who are over the age of 18 currently connected to the Firstgas gas pipeline.   
    
5. Conditions of Entry:
   
   How to Enter:  To enter, an eligible participant must fill out all fields in the competition entry form on the First Gas website. Entry into the competition is automatic upon submission of a correct and fully completed online entry form. Participation in the competition is limited to one entry per person. 
   
   
6. The Promoter, its employees and their immediate families, participating agents and their associated agencies are ineligible to enter. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries. 
   
   
7. Competition commences on Monday, 24 March 2025 at 00:01am and closes on Monday, 30 June at 17:00. Entries received after this closing time will be ineligible for entry (“Competition Period”). 
   
   
8. Ten winners will be randomly drawn from the prize pool by Monday, 7 July 2025. Attempts will be made to notify the winners by email on the email address or by phone on the contact number provided on the competition entry. If the Promoter, having used reasonable efforts, is unable to contact the winner prior to 2pm on Friday, 11 July 2025 then the prize is forfeited and a further draw(s) will be conducted. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
   
   
9. The first ten valid entries drawn at the end of the draw will each win the following prize:
   1 x Tefal XL Intense Non Stick Wok Black 28cm valued at $129.99
   
   
10. Unless otherwise specified, the prize must be redeemed between within two weeks of the winner first being notified. If the prize is not redeemed by this date, the prize will be forfeited.
    
    
11. The prize is not transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other product. 
    
    
12. The cost of delivering the prize to the winner’s provided street address will be covered by Firstgas. Once the winner’s entry has been validated, the prize will be dispatched via courier.
    
    
13. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize value. 
    
    
14. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize in whole (or any of its components), with a substitute prize of equal or greater value.
    
    
15. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any injury or damage to participants or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation in or down-loading any materials in this competition. 
    
    
16. Neither the Promoter nor any other person or party associated with this competition shall be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with either participation in this competition or with any prizes offered.
    
    
17. The Promoter collects entrants’ personal information in order to conduct the competition. If the information requested is not provided, the entrant may not participate in the competition. Acceptance of the prize is deemed consent for the Promoter to use the winner’s details and photographs of the winner for promotional and media purposes without any further reference, payment or other compensation to the entrant. Please refer to the Promoter’s Privacy Policy at firstgas.co.nz/privacy-policy regarding the storage and use of personal information.  
    
    
18. This competition is subject to the laws of New Zealand.  Both the Promoter and you, and any party which uses or takes the benefit of any prize awarded, accept the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.
