Look out for:
- Signs on kerbs, streetlights and power poles in urban areas
- Danger signs and white painted posts on fence in rural areas
- White triangular warnings signs at major river and harbour crossings
- Marker tape may be in the trench line above the pipe
Typically, high-pressure transmission pipelines are buried at a minimum depth of 900mm. However, the actual depth may vary due to changes in the ground surface since their construction which can result in an increase or decrease in depth.
